The first romances I read were historical. It was through these stories that I fell in love with history. The characters in my first historical novel made their presence felt, often by inserting themselves in my time travel stories. This was not helpful since they cared nothing for the time period of the story they were invading. In order to gain control of my time travels, I promised to write their stories.
And so, I wrote my first historical. But one book was not good enough for the FitzGillens, no, they each wanted their own story told. One book has turned into three. The following are short descriptions of the books.

Book One: SIEGE
In 1070 England, at the age of thirty-five, Lady Anora of Fairhurst is widowed and her castle is being besieged by the hated Normans. Rosard FitzGillen, a Norman in William the Conqueror’s army, is a seasoned warrior, with two grown sons and a lifetime of experience on the battlefield. He is world-weary and longs for a home and peace. He believes he has found it at Fairhurst. But in order to find happiness, he must lay Siege to not only the castle, but Anora’s heart as well.
Book Two: SURRENDER
In Surrender, Royce FitzGillen, the dark and brooding eldest son struggles with the guilt of killing the man he thought was his father. But when he meets a Saxon woman wanted by King William for her involvement in an uprising, he must Surrender his anger, embrace love and prove her innocence.
Book Three: SACRIFICE
To ensure peace in Wales, King William requires Gyfton FitzGillen to Sacrifice his freedom by wedding the daughter of a powerful Welsh lord. While the incorrigible youngest of the FitzGillen men is content to seduce every fair maiden he can, the young woman would prefer to become the bride of Christ. |
